Server

The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at Brunch & Sip. Restaurant Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Servers are expected to have some basic cooking knowledge.

Duties:

  • Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.
  • Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items…etc.
  • Handle the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific customer needs to the cooks.
  • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
  • Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change.
  • Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
  • Filling in for absent staff as needed.
  • Assisting with special events as needed.
  • Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Understands and can communicate products and services available at the restaurant.
  • Must have some familiarity with basic cooking skills.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous serving experience required.
  • Excellent oral communication skills required.
  • Positive interpersonal skills required.
  • Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.

Bartender

Overview

The purpose of this position is to interact with guest and ensure they have a great  experience when dining at Brunch & Sip. Restaurant Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guest and servers in a friendly and efficient manner.

Duties:

  • Serve food and drinks prepared according to Brunch & Sip recipes and procedures.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Serve drinks responsibly according to Serv-Safe guidelines.
  • Place bottled merchandise and glasses to make a smart display.
  • Keep work station clean.
  • Keep a balanced drawer.
  • Keep everything stocked, including: liquor, beer, frozen mixes, fruit, napkins, silverware, plates, etc.
  • Be knowledgeable about the menu.
  • Be knowledgeable about drinks.
  • Check Identification of guest in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours at a time, bend and lift 50 lbs.
  • Must speak English.
  • Must provide documentation of legal U.S. residency.
  • Previous Bartending experience.
  • Must be able to manage many tasks quickly and efficiently.
  • Must have Food Handlers card.
  • Must have a License/Certification/Permit

Prep Cook

Job Overview:
The job of a cook at Brunch & Sip is to quickly prepare the hottest, freshest, tastiest, best looking food for the customers at Brunch & Sip. Cooks are to maintain a clean working space and prepare food and store foods according to health code.

Duties:

  • Prepare kitchen. Make sure all utensils and supplies are ready.
  • Prepare all food needed to get you through the shift.
  • Quickly prepare the hottest, freshest, tastiest, and best looking food.
  • Prioritize orders by time and then ease of ticket.
  • Make sure all items on orders are sent out together, or as close to together as possible.
  • Keep fresh chicken, trash chicken every 20 minutes.
  • Check the hot table to make sure we are never low on any steam table items.
  • Make sure our oven is stocked with all needed items (cornbread, macaroni, etc.)
  • At every opportunity clean, organize, and check temperatures.
  • Prep for the next shift as much as possible after handling your shifts’ tasks and duties.
  • Clean workstation after every shift, before leaving
  • Properly but back all tools and clean all items after use.
  • Give expo/servers what they need (no ticket immediately necessary. Any questions ask management).
  • Make sure all items were stored properly the night before and temperatures are correct.
  • Immediately begin preparations for the upcoming shift.
  • Clean sinks after each use.
  • Communicate with wait staff all specials of the day.
  • Store all foods properly, shut down kitchen appliances, and throw un-kept food away.
  • Clean all appliances (fryers, waffles machines, ovens, steam table, flattop, and prep areas.)
  • Clean and organize under the prep table.
  • Clean, organize, and mop the walk in (Face and FIFO).
  • Clean all walls and the freezer.
  • Clean and organize storage shelves.
  • Spray, squeegee, and mop the floor.
  • Scrub all drains and pour quat.
  • Refill all supplies.
  • Put all used cleaning items away where they belong neatly.
  • Double-check everything.
  • Get a manager and make a list.
  • Get a manager to walkthrough with you to make sure everything is done.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma
  • To read and write fluently to take instructions in both verbal and written forms
  • Must provide documentation of legal U. S. residency
  • Must have a Food Handlers Card
